Freezing my butt off – left film halfway through

When I was younger I used to spend a lot of my money going to the films.

For one thing, there weren’t many other possibilities in our area.

My buddy and I did not live in a bustling town where you could walk outside and find something fun to entertain yourself. Instead, we had to drive various towns over to arrive at a filmplex where we could zone out for a few hours with popcorn in hand! Eventually, I realized that I did not like current films anymore, however. I felt like all of the large production companies were putting out garbage. It also didn’t help that I had various extremely unlucky indoor air temperature control experiences at the major filmplexs. It felt like every time I went to see a flick, I needed to bring a heated blanket with me to offset the crazy amount of air conditioner that they were pumping into every theater. Somehow, every filmplex decided that their clients wanted the indoor air temperature to be at roughly 40 degrees. It felt like resting in a walk-in cooler, rather than enjoying a film with a commercial air conditioner system churning away in the background. I would consistently bring various sweatshirts with me to offset the horrendous low air temperature that marked every film going experience. However, even my extra layers of clothing we’re not enough to overcome the drafty, brutally frosty experience of having air conditioner blasted on you for 3 hours straight. The morning that I could not feel my fingers and toes resting in a filmplex was the morning that I left that air-conditioned nightmare in the middle of a film and never went back.
