I love playing ice hockey.
All the guys and I played on a kid’s hockey team when we were younger, and even after we graduated from a higher league, we played.
Now that we were no longer in school, we took our wives or girlfriends to the skating rink with us, and they played cheerleaders while we played ice hockey. Last week, we were all at the skating rink, but the ice melted. I thought they had something going on where they had to shut the skating rink down. I went over to the desk and asked them how long it would take to freeze the ice skating rink. The young girl said she didn’t know. They had called the HVAC company, but no one had arrived, yet. I looked at my pals and told them we had a job to do. Two of us were HVAC technicians, and I knew we could repair the ice skating rink and get it ready to use. I told her the HVAC technicians were there to save the day and headed to where they had the freezing unit. It took almost an hour to repair the air conditioning unit, and start the freezing process. They brought out the Zamboni and started laying a new layer of water on the skating rink, so it froze evenly. We sat around eating hot dogs and french fries until the freezing was complete, but the HVAC technicians saved day. We were halfway through the game when the HVAC company technician finally arrived. At least our HVAC company didn’t lose any money, because I worked for the HVAC company they called.
