You should always get a heating tune up before the Winter

My best friend and I have been inseparable since we were little kids.

We grew up in houses right next to each other and did absolutely everything together.

Everything changed when her dad got a new job and her family moved far away to another state. Now that I can drive, my mom lets me visit her every so often. I decided to take a weekend trip to her family’s cabin in the woods during the Winter. This is the time that I learned what a heating tune up is. As I was on my way up the mountain, my heater completely stopped working in my car. I pulled over and restarted the car to see if I could jumpstart the heater, but nothing seemed to change. There was barely any air pushing out of the air vent, so I knew that something must have been really wrong. I was kind of nervous to drive the car without the heater on because I felt like my hands would freeze to the steering wheel the higher I went up the mountain. I called my friend and told her that my heater had broken and she asked her dad to meet me and see if he could fix it or give me a tow. I was pretty sure that he would be rolling his eyes at the fact that I didn’t want to drive without the heater, but he was happy to pick me up! Once we got to their cabin, he popped open my hood and went to work on my heater so that I didn’t have to worry about it on my way back home. He recommended that next time I travel to a really cold location, I get a heating tune up in my car.
