They sent a sales rep, not a specialist.

I wanted to have my central a/c equipment cleaned, checked, and checked for any repairs that could be done prior to the summer.

When I talked to the Heating, Ventilation and A/C dispatcher, he told myself and others ‌that they could have an A/C specialist over to my house about multiple afternoons.

I asked for a time when he would arrive, and he gave myself and others a several-hour window. It surprised myself and others that this Heating, Ventilation and A/C specialist showed up on time, and that it was not actually a specialist. They sent the Heating, Ventilation and A/C sales rep to my house instead. He said he was going to look at my a/c unit, and since I’ve been told multiple years in a row that I would need a new a/c unit, he would check to see what size a/c equipment I needed just in case that was the situation. After doing the inspection, he measured my entire house, asked a lot of questions about how multiple people were there and what our normal habits were? He told myself and others that the a/c equipment could be repaired, but he wouldn’t suggest it. He said the normal lifespan for an a/c equipment was 12 to 15 years, and mine was almost 20 years old. Instead of repairing the outdated a/c unit, he believed it would be best for myself and others to have a new 1 installed. He then explained how the efficiency of my a/c equipment was so much lower than what they had now. He also explained how a new a/c equipment could give myself and my family the ability to install a whole lake house whole-house air purifier. I told him I had to talk to my partner, however if there were no concerns with a new AC unit, I would call them back.
