There was barely any air pushing out of the air vent, so I knew that something must have been entirely wrong.
My best friend and I have been inseparable since we were little kids. We grew up in houses right next to each other and did everything together, everything changed when his dad got a new job and his family moved far away to another state. Now that I can drive, my mom lets me visit him every so often, and I decided to take a weekend trip to his family’s cottage in the woods during the winter. This is the time that I learned what a heating tune up is, then as I was on our way up the mountain, the heating system completely stopped really working in our car. I pulled over and restarted the car to see if I could jumpstart the heater, nothing seemed to change. There was barely any air pushing out of the air vent, so I knew that something must have been entirely wrong. I was kind of sad to drive the car without the heating system on because I felt like our hands would freeze to the steering wheel the higher I went up the mountain. I called our neighbor and told him that our heating system had broken and he asked his dad to meet me and see if he could repair it or deliver me a tow. I was pretty sure that he would be rolling his eyes at the fact that I didn’t want to drive without the heater, but he was glad to pick me up! Once we got to their cottage, he popped open our hood and went to task on our heating system so that I didn’t have to worry about it on our way back home, then he advocated that next time I travel to an entirely cold location, I get a heating tune up in our car.
