Getting your mind in order

I have seen this afternoon coming for some time now but have yet to act on it.

Every one of us are deep into 2019 so the two of us are mere months away for the time that R 22 refrigerant will be banned in the US.

On January 1, 2020 R 22 or Freon will not be legally produced in this country. Honestly, given what I assume about its effects on the ozone layer, I am all for a ban. The chlorofluorocarbon reduction programs have helped our ozone layer from being depleted. I’m just at odds at whether I should replace my Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system. For sure, my heating plus cooling equipment is on its last legs. And when you factor in that there will no longer be legal sources of R 22 for recharge, it is kind of worthless. I have taken the step to speak with Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C contractors plus get ideas for replacement models. Doing so, I came up with a fairly expansive list of question to consider when replacing an Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C unit. Check out the statistics on the regional Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C upgrades to find an average plan of what works. Following that, have an Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C contractor give a quote. Ask the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C folks if you can follow them around while they are doing their inspection. Watch to be sure that they are taking measurements as you need to have the usual size Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C equipment for the volume of your home. Bring up the subject of HVAC duct to the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C contractor. Are up-to-date ducts necessary? Also, what sort of SEER rating do they suggest. These questions will let the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C person assume that you are part of this process. This way you will find a qualified Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professional.
