I was raised as an only child.
My mom always says that she didn’t need any other youngsters because she was able to get the perfect one! I don’t truly know if that is the case, even though I do suppose that not having any siblings has easily influenced me as far as my own personal boundaries go.
I just don’t care for having any other people touching my stuff. This is especially true when it comes to certain things in my property, such as my heating plus cooling equipment. I suppose that since I’m the only person around here who pays the bills for our heating plus a/c equipment, then I’m the one who gets to adjust the temperature control. I honestly feel that I should be the only one around here who touches the temperature control! I tell all the people who live in my property to keep their hands off of the temperature control, but sporadically my youngsters make the decision that they’re too sizzling or too freezing plus they’ll turn the temperature up or down. And I don’t take kindly to that in the slightest! My mother also lives with us, plus she’s the total worst to turn the heating up in the middle of the night after I’m in bed for the night. I definitely realize that she’s my mother, even though I still don’t want her to touch the temperature control in my property. Maybe that makes me a pretty bad person, but if it does, I don’t actually care. I am the only person in my property who needs to adjust my temperature control unit. If they don’t stop messing around with it, I’m really going to get a single one of those locking boxes to put over the top of it soon!
