My company partner plus I invested in a small dance club. The dance club was going out of business. They needed some investors to turn things around. My partner plus I saw real potential for the club to become something great. It’s been problematic at times, however things are finally starting to look up for the dance club. One of the biggest concerns is security. The club is located on 5th street, down by the industrial yard. Since every one of us are the only company open past 5pm, most of the foot traffic is coming to our club. The club was having a lot of concerns with security… Just in the previous week, every one of us had more than two fist fights plus a drug bust. My company partner plus I wanted to address the security concerns first. That was 1 of our stipulations, when agreeing to invest in the dance club. The two of us hired a video surveillance company to set up some cctvs on the perimeter of the building. There are multiple cctvs on 5th Street, plus more than two cctvs on River Street, and all of the video surveillance unit covers every square inch of our property plus the nearby street area. The two of us even added some cctvs inside the bar. All of the feed is transferred live to a control room, where every one of us have a security officer 24 hours a afternoon plus 7 afternoons a week. I honestly hope the added security will help increase our profits. One of the biggest customer complaints is outdoor security, plus every one of us are addressing that issue. The dance club will make currency, if every one of us can just please the clients.
