My house is way too warm without air conditioning.
One of my best friends never uses air conditioning in her house. She doesn’t have central air conditioning, and she refuses to use window air conditioning units. She doesn’t think that air conditioning is inherently wrong; she just doesn’t think it is worth the money. I wanted to try to be like her this summer, so I decided to try and make it through the summer without air conditioning. Well, I made it to the second week of June before I realized that it was going to be much harder than I thought to go without air conditioning in my house. I have been to my best friend’s house many times during the summer months, and it truly isn’t very hot in her house. It is usually a bit warmer in her house than I would prefer, but it is probably only about seventy-five to eighty degrees in her house. She always has fans going, so it isn’t that bad. My house on the other hand is terrible. It gets so much warmer than her house does. I don’t understand why my house gets so much warmer, but it does. My house is a bit smaller than hers, but they are pretty similar in layout. I feel like my house is about eight-five degrees most of the time. I have a few fans like she does, but they just don’t seem to help. I am convinced that for one reason or another my house is much warmer than hers, and I need air conditioning in my house.
