Should I disinfect our Heating system

A few weeks ago, I was resting in the cafeteria at work with a few of our coworkers! And on a normal supper break, all of us discuss things happening in the news or all of us discuss the contractor plus upcoming projects.

In addition, the conversations will lead to random topics that may include kids, fiances, family members, plus more.

Anyway, on this afternoon while in the cafeteria a conversation popped up about Heating, Ventilation & A/C units. Apparently, Tami had just gotten his HVAC duct cleaned plus Mike was shocked that he had that repair done. In fact, Mike mentioned to Tami that he was ripped off plus that he didn’t need to disinfect out his air ducts, of course, others jumped into the conversation, plus it turns out that a few other coworkers had gotten their HVAC duct cleaned in previous years. Personally, I have never gotten our air ducts cleaned plus our Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman has never mentioned that to me. Well, after a few back plus forth exswings, someone Googled whether or not all of us should disinfect our HVAC duct. There were a few answers that came back that included: 1) that it is not necessary to disinfect the Heating, Ventilation & A/C HVAC duct, 2) that all of us should disinfect them every 3 to 5 years, 3) or disinfect them as needed if there is an infestation. The Environmental Protection Agency recommends that the air ducts should be cleaned on an as needed basis, but because I have never had our air ducts cleaned, plus there was no solid answer to the question, I didn’t engage in the conversation. If, but, our Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman recommends that I get our air ducts cleaned, chances are, I might consider doing it then.
