Living in nature still comes with some HVAC

It happens every time and leaves me with such a big grin on my face.

I just love seeing people’s faces when they actually come out here to visit me.

I’m sure the trip getting out here is a real eye opener since I live hours from really anywhere. I live so far out that I’m not even on the electrical grid anymore. It doesn’t mean that my place doesn’t have things like residential HVAC. Mainly, the ductless heat pump is for air conditioning when it’s gets sticky in the summer. Heating is taken care of with firewood and a custom wood stove. However, it sure is nice to have ductless heat pump to rely on whether winter or summer. I do a fair amount of traveling for business so it’s nice to have a HVAC heating from a ductless heat pump when I have to come home and light a cold stove. Most of my visitors are really surprised that I live the way I do though. And that’s what I love about seeing their faces. It’s such a nice house. Well it’s just a cabin with two bedrooms is really well appointed. I grow much of what I eat and there’s a solar array on the property for electricity. I have satellite Wi-Fi so I can work and all the privacy I could ever want. So it’s always fun to see people’s faces as they walk in the door and see what life off the grid really does look like. And while a bit more rustic and simplified, it’s a lot like how everybody lives in their home.
