I just recently bought myself an older window air conditioning unit used for a cheap price.
What would I want with an older window air conditioning system when I have central heat and a/c you may ask? Well, this one room that I like to relax and read in within my home has lousy airflow.
A portable air conditioning system was not something I had the money for, so buying a used old window air conditioning system for this little room was the best thing to do. Now I can read in the summertime and cool off at the same time. It is really great. On some of those really hot summer days all I want to do is stay at home on the weekends and read books in my little room. And now that I have a nice old window air conditioning system in there that works really well it will be really nice. The summer is not here just yet, but it has been pretty warm. So I did have the chance to test it out. I spent most of last weekend relaxing and reading books there with the window air conditioning unit I bought used. You would never know this window air conditioning system was used because of how great it works. Those old window air conditioners are pretty darn powerful I have to tell you. As long as the room is the right size and you fit it into the window properly, it could be just as good as central air conditioning or a portable air conditioner.
