Summer is just about here and it is time to prepare for the hot weather.
My dad raised me to prepare for the summer by taking good care of my air conditioning system.
I am right on top of it as I just called our local heating and air conditioner supplier the other afternoon to schedule both an HVAC tune up and check up and a deep air duct cleaning! Getting my air duct cleaned along with the HVAC tune up is something I do at the start of every single season! The air duct cleaning is just as crucial as the HVAC tune up and check up. This is because after an entire season of running your central heating or air conditioner, dirt and dust builds up. Dirty air ducts result in bad airflow and low air quality. To have a congested air duct is not superb for your central heat and a/c unit, and it could eventually cause your central heating and air conditioner method to break down all together. This would end up being a large expense, and it may even require replacing the entire HVAC system if the issue is bad enough. My dad always taught me that if I take care of my HVAC units, I will never have to deal with those problems. If there was anything wrong with the central heat and a/c component it would be found, identified, and fixed while in the HVAC tune up. This is our routine every single year and it serves me well.
