I just recently obtained an older window air conditioning system component used for a cheap price! What would I want with an older window air conditioning system when I have central heat in addition to the air conditioning system you may ask? Well, this is a room that my daughter loves to relax and read in.
The trouble is, she doesn’t like using the room in the summer because the air conditioning doesn’t do a very good job of cooling it. Even though I didn’t have the money for a brand new air conditioning unit, I wanted to make sure I gave my daughter a relaxing place of her own. I made it my mission to make her reading nook comfortable for the summer months. Buying a used old window air conditioning system for this little room was the best thing to do. On some of those absolutely boiling Summer afternoons, all my daughter wants to do is stay at home and get lost in a good book. And now that we have a nice old window air conditioning system in there that works absolutely well, she will be able to do so all summer long. Even though it isn’t quite yet summer, it has been pretty warm, so we did have the opportunity to test it out. In fact, my daughter spent most of last weekend hanging out there and enjoying the air conditioning. Honestly, you would never know this window air conditioning system was used because of how well it works. Those old window air conditioning systems are pretty darn powerful I have to tell you. As long as you fit the unit into the window in a secure way and the room is the right size, it could be just as pleasant as a central air conditioning system or a portable air conditioning system.
