A thermostat change

I have been updating each room of our home 1 by 1.

This most recent room is the hallway.

I decided to totally gut plus revamp the space. I ripped out the hallway rug plus laid down gray stone floors. I then scraped the snacks, mudded plus sanded the ceiling to smooth it out. Then I changed all the yellowed switch plates to nickel finish plates. The hallway lighting became recessed lighting. The last touch was decreasing the temperature control. For years I had been relying on a basic dial temperature control. It was this beige, ugly thing with a plastic toggle. My spouse bumped the toggle consistently by mistake plus turned up our heating system to around 90 degrees. It was poor in the dead of Summer plus I felt the heating system on. He also couldn’t see the numbers relaxing enough to adjust it. That was terrible. It was an eyesore plus not very functional. Changing to a smart temperature control not only looks better but has saved us energy. Now both of us can update the temperature control from our iphones. My spouse is consistently tinkering with the heating plus cooling. The two of us get alerts on humidity levels, when an air filter needs to be changed plus energy smart savings. My temperature control wants us to save money plus will automatically make swings on its own plus set a schedule. When the temperature control notices me down the hallway, it will light up plus tell me the outdoor temperature. It is a really good feature. I also prefer the silver surround plus purple innerface. It matches our hallway perfectly.
