One thing I did not know about programmable temperature controls were the fact that they were a key player in energy savings! I found this little fact out by learning a website that was all about energy saving tips! I was trying to find a way to lower our biweekly electric bills this Winter time because last year they were over the top, but there was times I had to make payment arrangements with our local electric contractor to be able to even keep our electric on! What I found with programmable temperature controls (otherwise known as smart temperature controls) is that because you can program the temperature control in your home, you will run your central heating as well as air conditioner plan a lot less than you would with a respected temperature control.
It does not sound care about a lot, but absolutely when you add up all the use of the heating in the absolutely cold months of the year it absolutely is, but when you set a correct digital temperature control or dial temperature control to a certain temperature, periodically it comes on when you absolutely don’t need the heating. By running the heating when you do not need it you are using energy that you absolutely do not need to be using! With the programmable temperature control you do not have to do that any longer! I upgraded our old digital temperature control to one of these programmable temperature controls as well as I can tell you that they absolutely do save you on energy use! So if you have high electric bills any time of the year…look into a programmable temperature control.
