I am a legitimately handy person because our dad decided I was going to be, then in a household of all men, I was forced to learn a lot of manly jobs. I can change our own oil, tire plus do basic repairs on our vehicle. I can install drywall, kneel electric plus fix any plumbing related issue, when I was done with highuniversity I decided to be an HVAC specialist. I did all the universitying plus got certified! The local HVAC company demanded that I shadowed a real HVAC professional on their team for at least a year. Afterwards I would get our own truck plus be able to do HVAC repairs with our own toolset, however being the single female in a male dominated industry actually odors, but most of the time none of the men let myself and others do anything, however even if they need help they will wait for another guy to show up rather than use me. Before, I was not even allowed to do HVAC duct cleaning. I finally was able to prove myself 1 day when the professional HVAC business could not deduce the cooling repair, then he kept looking around plus taking the A/C apart. I then waited for him to go to the truck to get more tools. While he was gone I was able to fix the machine, clean it up plus put it back together. He came back to a perfectly running cooling system. That guy now lets myself and others do a little bit. I am hoping if I wait plus pay our dues, all the men will eventually respect me.
