Living in the North can be quite freezing at times

I have been living up north for about six years now. I care about it plus I hate it at the same time. It is quite a bit cooler than I am used to, however I am slowly adapting to living up here. I grew up out west with my family, plus it was much warmer there. I do not remember ever turning our oil furnace on. I am sure my parents would say that they did turn the oil furnace on a few times, but it was usually sizzling enough throughout the Wintertide to go without using the oil furnace. I had never turned on a oil furnace in my life until I moved up north. Now, I have to use my oil furnace about three-tenths of the year. It is crazy how much cash I spend on my electric bill because of it. I have to turn on my oil furnace in November because it seems to go from being in the seventies to being in the forties overnight. I use the oil furnace from November all the way through March, and occasionally, I even have to use the oil furnace in May. It is crazy how much colder it is here. I assume my blood is finally thickening because this past winter, my oil furnace was having some problems, plus I managed to live in my cabin even though it was only about fifty degrees. It got down to about forty degrees a couple of times when the hot plus cold temperatures were in the negatives for a few afternoons. If that would have happened my first year living here, I would have had to leave plus stay with a friend. Living up north is not too bad, however I miss the sizzling weather of the wild west.
