I was always being kept up at night by our old HVAC system because it was so loud. When I told the man who was helping us remodel our house about the noise problem he put me in touch with a really amazing HVAC technician. The HVAC technician told me a lot about radiant flooring which I had never heard of before. He explained to me that radiant flooring can really help increase the value on a home and comfort. Radiant flooring works by replacing other methods of heating and cooling because it heats the ground, which in turn heats the entire house! I thought this idea sounded too good to be true but I told the HVAC technician I would try it out. We opted for radiant flooring that is heated by water instead of electricity. Either way the HVAC technician told me that maintenance on radiant flooring is extremely low and it lasts much longer than a furnace or other method of heating. After having the radiant flooring I can say with certainty that I sleep much, much better. The old AC unit that I had just caused so much noise. I am not sure if the air conditioner was old or if that’s just the style of unit it was, but having a silent HVAC system is amazing. If you’ve never heard of radiant flooring you should talk to your local HVAC provider to see if it is offered.
