As my kids got older, our home was turning into a war zone.
It seemed our girls couldn’t agree on anything.
It was a constant battle to get anything planned, because they would deliberately take an opposite side. When it came to the HVAC, it was even worse. They chose the dumbest arguments. One or the other was getting up in the middle of the night, to change the thermostat. If one changed the thermostat and the other heard the furnace or AC turn on, they would go running out to change the thermostat back. My energy bill was going through the roof, and I had to put a stop to it. I knew I should have had Zone Control installed a long time ago, and it had finally come to a time when it was a necessity. I not only needed a new thermostat, from the abuse, but they were affecting my wallet. I called the HVAC company to get some information on the Zone Control. They told me it was a simple process that wouldn’t cause any upheaval in the house and it took a short amount of time. I would probably recoup the cost in the first year, just from the savings on my energy bills. I was really interested now. I made an appointment for them to come to the house and install the Zone Control When my daughters saw they had their own thermostats, they were thrilled. Now, I am wondering what they are going to find to argue over. I really don’t care, now that I know my energy bill will go down, and my wife and I won’t have changing temperatures in our bedroom, all night long.
