Be safe with the HVAC

It appears I skip more Heating, Ventilation, and A/C repair than I sign up for.

I set up a yearly repair appointment however then life happens and I have to cancel it.

As soon as I do this, I forget all about it. And truth be told, I have never loved spending money on stopping potential problems down the road. I feel like if I paid top dollar for Heating, Ventilation, and A/C technology then why in the heck am I continuing to pay to maintain it. So, this also goes into not being motivated to reschedule canceled Heating, Ventilation, and A/C repair calls. With that being said, I am now wishing that I had kept up with the yearly repair. A day or two ago, just after I went to bed, the furnace uttered a particularly startling slam bang. Not super long after that, it quickly shut down and would not restart. It was so freezing out that evening that I had no other option however to call the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C repair line. It was our first emergency, after hours repair call. I was feeling super scared about opening the door when the heating and cooling specialist arrived. The beach house ended up getting colder by the hour as both of us waited for the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C guy to come and save the day. Luckily, the heating and cooling pro was super friendly and accommodating. In fact, he had a great attitude while he was laboring to repair the furnace. It makes sense as to why he was in such a great mood. He provided me the bill and I almost had a heart attack. I was staggered by the cost. But, the real punch in the gut came as he was walking out the door. He pointed out that the furnace complication would have been caught had I finished up with the repair. The next day I signed up for the automatic Heating, Ventilation, and A/C repair appointments.
