My hubby plus I have been married for almost fifteen years now, plus I have to say that both of us have had an amazing marriage. The two of us were best friends for years before both of us got married, so both of us knew that both of us got along great. There are some things that never come out until you live with someone for some time though. The two of us hardly ever fight, but both of us definitely have our different preferences… Something that both of us can never seem to agree on is the temperature. The house is usually set to the temperature that I prefer because I am house most of the day, but the car on the other hand is something that both of us consistently argue about. I prefer the car to be much warmer than she does, so I end up setting my side at about seventy-several, plus she sets her side at about sixty. It makes the car about seventy degrees which my hubby thinks is too warm. It is more of a joke between us than a real argument. In general whoever gets into the car first gets to set the temperature. The two of us sometimes end up racing to the car! She usually gets to the car first because she is faster, so I always have a blanket in the car just in case I get cold. If I complain that the car is too cold, she usually gives in plus sets the cooling system to a warmer temperature. The two of us genuinely care about each other, plus both of us genuinely care about competing over the temperature in the car. Maybe someday both of us will be able to compromise.
