When I got to work, I found out that one of my co-workers and I had to go downtown to the bank building to work on an AC repair problem.

The AC machine is actually located in the basement of the bank. It’s easy to get to, but you have to go downstairs through the vault in order to access all of the heating and cooling machines. My first time in the bank vault was the day that we did the repair. I could have spent hours in there. It was one of the most intricate and beautiful rooms that I have ever seen. It did not look like the inside of a bank. The inside of the vault looked like an intricate pattern of art. My coworker and I got to the bank around 10:00 in the morning. We had to get some parts from a nearby HVAC repair business. Around lunch time, we stopped so that we could go for some lunch while we waited for the parts. We didn’t finish with the repair until later that afternoon. I thought that the boss was going to schedule my coworker and I for another repair when we were done at the bank, but it took so long that he told the two of us to go home for the day. I actually got sent home at 4:00 on a friday. It was the first time in a really long time that I have gone home early on a weekend day.

My wife and I came home from a weekend away and there were problems with the furnace.

There was absolutely no heat in the house. I tried to toggle the thermostat back and forth, but no heat came out of the furnace. I didn’t want to wait a long time before we called a repair service. I told my wife that I was going to call someone shortly after we realized there was a problem. The repair technician came to our residence to look at the problems we were having. It didn’t take very long for the technician to give us the bad news. The guy was convinced that we had to replace our furnace. The furnace is 8 years old so I wasn’t surprised by the news. I did think it was necessary to get a second opinion just in case this guy was wrong. The next day, my wife and I called a different heating and cooling repair company for another opinion. Unfortunately for us, the second heating and cooling company agreed with the first technician. They also felt that we should replace the system. My wife and I looked at several different options for a new furnace. All of the options seemed like they would work out well. Some of the furnaces were more energy efficient than others. The more energy efficient furnace was more expensive. My wife and I had to get financing for the new equipment, because I didn’t have enough money. I contacted our bank and they were more than happy to give us a personal loan to cover all of the installation and equipment fees.

My friends and I decided to go to a new place on Friday night. We knew that the club opened up a couple of months ago but it was our first time in the city. I consistently save on service visits if I purchase the twice-a-year service contract. Periodically they’ll do a service or service call on the same date as the service work so I don’t pay an extra fee. That’s $115 that I’m able to save each time with the work bundling. It’s nice having a wonderful Heating plus A/C contractor that is willing to do this for clients separate from ripping them off.
