I like to call the beach LalaLand because all of my cares melt away when I am there and it feels like a dream being there. I like to go there a few times a day to clear my mind and get some vitamin D. I don’t stay out long when I go in the middle of the day because the sun is just way too strong then, but when I go there again for the evening around 6pm I usually don’t come home until 10pm. I have fun with my local contractor friend, who is also my volleyball partner, and we end up talking and hanging out till well after sunset. We have no HVAC system on the beach, and in the summer it can get fiery hot, but we still have the best of times hanging out in that little sandy place by the sea. I am going to work more this winter to stay busy but I will always find the time to go to that beach. I’m reading an HVAC systems book now to brush up on the latest HVAC technology so that when I am working for the HVAC company I will not have any issues helping people with their problems. A lot of people ask me questions at work and if I dont have the answer it doesn’t look good for our company so I try to always keep abreast of the latest changes in the industry. I used to know almost everything back in the day but it has changed so much since then.

Three More Days of Summer and It’s Over
Today is the second of September and summer is officially here for 19 more days but in three days school starts and this place is going to change quickly.
The beaches will really thin out, especially during the weekdays, and a lot of the tourists will be gone. I like having it slower as the summer was a zoo with all of the streets packed almost every single day. It’s a bit hectic with so many people here but it only lasts a couple of months and in a couple days it will be business as usual again in our town. The local businesses will slow down a lot and some of them will shut their doors for the winter season as there isn’t enough business to keep them afloat. I’ll work for the local HVAC company as I always do and just keep plugging along with my cold sea dips each day. Next month will be very slow and it will stay that way all the way up until the end of May next year. The heating and cooling corp will stay busy in the winter with servicing HVAC systems and selling space heaters and things like that. I am planning on working there more than I have been so I can save up some extra cash to go to the states in December for a month to visit my hometown and give my mom a big hug and a kiss. I will do some work for my friend there who is a local service provider to make some spending money while there.

Space Heaters and Sun Lamps for the Winter
Winter can be very dark and cold here for many months so it is a necessity to have a space heater and one of those sun light boxes to give you some artificial light so that you don’t get seasonal affective disorder from lack of sunlight.
I am going to get some gigs going in the local businesses with my guitar man friend and we will also do some in the streets when it isn’t too cold out.
I have two passions; beach volleyball and drumming/singing. The local heating corp told me that we can do some shows there sometimes if we can bring a crowd. I can’t do volleyball in the winter as the weather is just too cold for several months so I will put more energy into singing and practicing drums. I would love to have a club where we can perform on a regular basis and I need to look for that place in the town where I live. Ideally a place with some good central heating as some of these bars can get very cold in the winter and it isn’t any fun playing drums with ice cold hands. A lot of these local businesses in our town don’t seem too interested in doing shows, which is too bad because the larger city I moved from had a ton of places doing shows and open mics. I guess that is the tradeoff with living in a quiet beach town like this place. I’ll ask my musican HVAC tech friend if he knows of any places here.
T Minus Five Hours Till the Volleyball Games
Today I am going to play with this very good player who is only 20 years old.
It’s pretty cool that I can hang with the young guns like him when I am pushing 60 in a few years. My partner, Sergi, has a natural talent for the sport and practices a lot so he is really good and we play well together. A lot of the good players come to our town today to play and we have a great time on the small beach near my home. I will work for the heating contractor for a few hours today doing some paperwork and then I am showing my flat to a girl who may rent a room from me. I will only have her as a roommate and she works each day teaching at a school so she won’t even be around much during the week. The local business near me is having a sale on HEPA filters and smart thermostats so I may go there this weekend and buy one of each as my thermostat is pretty much not working any more. I think something also happened to my robot vacuum cleaner and I may need to order one again soon or I will have to start vacuuming myself, which is something I dread doing. I think the HVAC company by my flat sells them so maybe they have some good prices and I can just buy one soon. I don’t have a lot of money because what I have left of my inheritance is locked in cryptos till they wake up again, which could be a couple of years. Pfff.
You might face some issues when calling for A/C service in the Summer
There are some things that happen in life that are unforeseen.
Like when most people get a flat tire it’s usually random.
You’re caught off guard and at times, it’s in the worst location, like on a highway or a busy street. However, there are a few things that we can do to prevent unforeseen issues. For example, if we get an oil change every 5,000 miles, our cars will perform better. Similarly, if we schedule our HVAC maintenance once or twice per year, our systems will perform more efficiently. However, there are some people who wait until there is an issue before they act. And that is when a situation can go from bad to worse. Most central air conditioners and heaters malfunction in the middle of the Summer or Winter because the weather is extreme outside, and your systems are working harder to keep up. During these seasons, there is more wear and tear on your HVAC unit, which means that it could potentially lose efficiency as well as stop working. During the Summer and Winter, there are more calls than any other time in the year. Which means that you’ll probably have to wait a day or two, and perhaps three before a service technician can come to your home. Additionally, parts are harder to find during those months, so that would also cause a delay in service. Furthermore, if you have an older unit, at times, the manufacturer can discontinue certain parts. Consequently, the HVAC technician will need to figure out how to proceed, And this could also prolong you receiving timely service. So, instead of waiting for your HVAC system to malfunction, schedule regular services during the year so that your technicians identify issues early.
Should I turn off my A/C when I’m on vacation?
Every year, I take one trip during the Summer where I am away from home for about two weeks.
At times, it is a trip to an exotic island, or it could be a trip to a fascinating historic site in some remote part of the world.
I always look forward to these trips and I usually take a week or so to prepare for them. I need to make sure that everything is ok prior to leaving. I always clean my house, I do laundry and I always make sure that I take out the garbage. Additionally, I check my mail, and I let my neighbors know that I will be out of town for a week or two. However, there is one thing that I always forget to do, and that is, I always forget to turn up the thermostat on my central air before I leave. I recall one trip where I was gone for 2 whole weeks, and I left my air conditioner running at 70 degrees with no one in my home. If I had a SMART thermostat, I would’ve been able to easily adjust the temperature from where I was, but I don’t so it was on for most of those two weeks. It is recommended that if you’re away from home for more than a couple of days to turn up the temperature to about 85 degrees. However, some people would think that turning it off would be a better option. But studies show that turning off the unit could cause more issues like increasing the humidity in your home. Also, when you return it would take longer to cool down your home.

Or perhaps, you might see a van in the neighborhood and decide to go with that company.
Personally, I love using the internet to find new service professionals. For instance, my HVAC technician relocated to another part of the state, so I needed to find a replacement service man who was just as good. Therefore, I decided to go on the internet and search for HVAC technicians in my area. The search came up with a lot of different companies. Some were in business for over 10 years, but some were just starting out. I immediately eliminated the new companies because it’s best to go with a company that has been well-established. Additionally, I made sure to eliminate the companies with low ratings. A low rating indicates that there are a lot of unhappy customers. Finally, I made sure that the company I selected was licensed, insured, and certified. Not only can this method help you to find great HVAC technicians, but it can also be used for any service professional. Needless to say, I found a new technician that was equally as noteworthy as my last technician. His name is John and I have been using him for a year now, and I have not had any issues with my HVAC system. In fact, the reason I selected John was because most of his customers said he went above and beyond. And I can also confirm that he does an excellent job.
Staying cool during the hot weather is high priority
I love traveling to different parts of the country to explore new places.
Specifically, I love going to different restaurants and trying new types of food.
As a self-proclaimed foodie, I often take road trips and stop at places that are off the beaten path. Most of those establishments are small restaurants that have been around for many years. On one of my recent trips, I was in the southern part of the country, and I found this great place that has been around since 1947. The restaurant is a family-owned business and they have been recognized and nominated for various awards because the food is that good. So, it was a no-brainer for me, I needed to try it for myself. Anyway, as I walked up to the restaurant, the first thing that I noticed was that it had two old school air conditioners installed in windows on each side of the door. I found this to be odd for them to have two A/Cs in the same location. But I didn’t ask any questions, I walked in and placed my order. It was a hot day and when I walked into the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised at how cool it was inside. I guess having two window A/Cs in the same location was a wise decision after all. I can’t say that it’s energy efficient to have them in the same area, but at least they kept the place extremely cool. And when the temperature is hovering around 95 degrees, staying cool is top on the priority list. Especially in that part of the country.
I am grateful that we have air conditioning in the Summer months
Finally, after what seemed like a long Summer, my kids are back in school.
I love having them home because I get to spend time with them.
However, I do enjoy it when they are in school because it frees up more of my time during the day. When they are home, I have to make sure that they are fed and entertained throughout the day. And to be honest, there were days that I had nothing for them to do. Thankfully, my kids were fine with playing video games on those days. I tried to take them to the park a few times, but the weather was so hot outside that they complained about being in the heat. So, I had to find indoor places that had air conditioning so that they would be comfortable during the hottest parts of the day. One place that we frequented was the library. It’s amazing how many workshops they offer during the Summer. And best of all, most of those workshops were indoors in the air conditioning, which means I didn’t hear any complaining from my kids. Having A/C during the Summer is so important for comfort. When I grew up, we had window air conditioner units in my home. And those were perfectly fine for us. But I don’t recall our Summers being this hot. So, I was fine being outside all day long. I don’t blame my kids for complaining about the heat because I would too, if it was this hot when I was their age. Anyway, I am grateful that we have the luxury of A/C because there are some people who aren’t so lucky.
