Very efficient air conditioning

Why should a cannabis dispensary restrict itself to just selling jars of weed? That’s a great start, and for most people it’s enough – but not for me.

I am a completist, and when I do something I want it to be the best.

I opened my little shop six months ago with the goal of becoming a franchise, and the most popular weed destination in town. There are a lot of other dispensaries in the city, so I have fierce competition. I succeed by going the extra mile and doing things the other stores won’t do. Taking growing equipment as an example. For all those other cannabis shops around here, none of them had growing equipment in stock to sell, it had to be special order only. I filled that niche and became the top seller for marijuana grow lights and insta-grow pots in the area. I decided to take it a step further and offer gardening classes on the weekend, to teach people the best practices for growing cannabis plants at home. I need to keep growing and expanding, so my next idea is a cannabis smoker’s lounge, although that one will take a few more months to put together. Imagine having a cool lounge where you can hang out, listen to music, play games, and enjoy cannabis products? The bill I got in the second month of Summer ’20 almost pushed us to turn off the Heating and Air Conditioning unit.

It was so high.

I remember how I was in utter shock as I was studying the amount I was expected to pay for a month’s use. The only change I had made to our consumption habits was turning up the HVAC cooling to get better climate control and improve indoor air quality, especially during the day since I was all home. The kids were off school for the holidays, and the adults worked from home. I did have the AC running a lot more than it does during other seasons, but the bill I got was way higher than in previous years. I kept up with Heating and Air Conditioning repair, and the cooling specialist constantly changed each air filter and cleaned the vents, leaving the cooling equipment free of anything that would make it more inefficient. So, it did not make sense why I had such a high bill. I phoned the cooling expert for a random check on the energy efficiency capacity of my cooling technology to see if any lapses would impact my energy consumption, but there was nothing. The cooling expert suggested that I have an energy auditor check the entire house for us before making any quick decisions regarding our home’s HVAC service equipment. The energy audit led me back to my home’s insulation which the cooling system had said was efficient, so I was left in a dilemma and scared about the next month’s energy bill. I barely changed anything, and it went back to the usual cost. I still wonder whether they made a mistake.

However, on my last holiday, I decided to try a holiday house that had come highly suggested by a friend.

Worst experience ever! I couldn’t find the house manager for a change of air filter after I found them dirty, yet they claimed to have changed them correctly. Two mornings later, the Heating and Air Conditioning system stopped working, and again, the manager told me they would send a HVAC expert to handle my complaints. I waited so long in addition to eventually deciding to find a cooling specialist. I didn’t have the option of canceling the booking because I had already paid and could tell I wouldn’t get a refund without drama. After a drive to the local town, I returned with a cooling specialist from the local HVAC business. The HVAC service provider had mentioned that the holiday house manager had not called to report the HVAC setup issue but confirmed they were their patrons. That means I could get our issue sorted and leave them to send the bill to the manager. The house felt hot despite the windows being fully open, to which the cooling specialist agreed that I was dealing with an AC issue that would have been resolved with prior Heating and Air Conditioning repair. The cooling technology expert diagnosed the issue for close to six hours, which only shows how bad the situation was, and by the time he left, I could all feel the difference between climate control and indoor air quality. The manager tried to push the bill over to me, but I stood my ground not to cover that particular bill.

The local gym owner is one of my best friends.

The hurry was to ensure that the cooling team at the business got to install it before the Summer heat hit us and the number of cooling emergencies grew too important for us to do the upgrade with ease. My pal was also afraid that he’d lose clients if the gym got too hot, and that was the best decision he made because he saw outdated patrons come back after word spread about the replacement. As for me and my business, more people have taken up replacement projects because they can afford to pay in installments.

Finding a new salon and spa after moving to a new neighborhood is always an uphill task, but it’s a necessary pain, so I do not mind it. I always have to ensure that they can handle my hair the way I like it to be done and have all the necessary equipment to ensure fine indoor air quality and climate control. When you are as sensitive as I am to smells and other air pollutants, you can smell the lack of air conditioning in such a setting. I moved to a new neighborhood in addition to needing to get my hair fixed, but this time, I didn’t have to struggle. My cooling tech was a lady, and I knew she’d have a clear idea about the salon with the best ambiance. She went to one of the neighborhood salons where she was in charge of their Heating and Air Conditioning repair, and she assured me that it would be my best experience because the owner needed to spare money when investing in a cooling specialist. They have signed an agreement with the cooling experts to maintain cooling technology, and the cooling expert is available even for emergencies.

Last year, my child came home and told me he needed me to help his class push a petition to have the school change their classrooms’ air conditioning because they were getting hot and struggling to concentrate.

Living in the city can be tormenting. I remember sharing a two-family room home with a roommate and the crappy indoor air quality that kept me out of home, even on mornings I would have preferred to stay in. I barely spent Summer there because the home had a faulty cooling unit, and the heat would be high for me to trust the AC. I’ve lived in my mobile house for such a long time without needing an a/c.

It was enough to regulate our use of the heating unit during the day when it was hottest, and the home’s cool roof coating and heat reflectors kept the heat away.

When it started getting hotter, I bought a portable fan from the HVAC business, which worked for a while until it was no longer enough. A year ago, it got too hot. While I survived it, this year, I was not ready to struggle with heat in the summer. I consulted with a heating and AC expert from the local HVAC company to find the right cooling unit for my space. I could install a central Heating and Air Conditioning with an a/c, but the AC specialist needed to check on the type of material the house had on the under and ensure that the insulation was well fit. Before the HVAC worker installed the cooling technology I had agreed on, I had the entire house reinsulated to ensure that there wouldn’t be any heat leaks in the house. I also got insulated curtains for the windows. Still, while the Heating and Air Conditioning repair and upgrade expert told me I could wait and see whether the new measures would be enough to keep me cool, I was set on improving climate control and indoor air quality with a new AC setup. I couldn’t imagine trying to fix the issue in the Summer heat when most people had AC emergencies. After such a long time of renting my RV in addition to letting it rest, I finally reached my budget for Summer traveling.

I just needed to sort the HVAC system by replacing it because the last time it was used, it had an issue with the air conditioner that the cooling expert had told me would not be fixable.

The last family to use the RV had complained that they couldn’t cook inside both during the day and at night because the climate control function failed to keep it cool, and they couldn’t sleep inside after heating anything. I couldn’t afford new cooling technology, so I let the RV rest as I saved for a replacement and a Summer trip. I took the deal to have the local indoor air quality dealers install it for me when the equipment arrived, and since it’s been a year already. The warranty has ended. I’m grateful I made the riskier decision because I only needed help with the air filter.
