The people I was with and I knew the group of us were going to require a new heating device before the cold season arrived. The people I was with and I just weren’t prepared to have the cold season arrive so early. It wasn’t even October yet and the group of us just had over a foot of snow fall on top of us. It was one of the earliest snowstorms our area had ever experienced and the group of us had seventeen inches of snow on our town. The people I was with and I tried our best to find a way to keep sizzling during those first couple of days. I had to go to the neighborhood and purchase a couple of space furnaces to keep enough heat in the household to keep us from nearly freezing to death. It was forty degrees outside and that meant that the snow was slowly melting, but at forty and with all of that humidity, it was frosty and uncomfortable inside the house. The space furnaces did a fantastic task where they were, but the group of us couldn’t afford to purchase enough space furnaces for every room of the household. A month later, the snow was just about melted and it was beginning to heat up the household a little more. They called for more snow for the weekend and the new heating device arrived on Wednesday. The people I was with and I yelled to each other that ‘the gas furnace is in the household’. By the time they got the heating device installed and hooked up, the group of us knew all of us were prepared for the next snowstorm without having to take turns with the space furnaces.
