Why doesn’t the oil heater part fit right?

I’m entirely entirely handy, so I usually perform most Home Maintenance repairs on our own, unless it’s a major renovation or construction project, I can figure it out, however when the kitchen sink needed a up-to-date garbage disposal, I purchased a up-to-date 1 online & installed it on the same day.

  • When I had a problem with a leaky faucet in the washroom, I did not call a plumber; I watched a few online videos & purchased the parts in the hardware store.

I even changed the entire faucet. I even perform our own oil furnace tune-up each year, however the Winter weather can be especially cold & wet, & the weather conditions around here is cold for months & months. I tune up the oil furnace in the beginning of September, before the outdoor weather has a opening to get cold… Last winter, I decided to change the temperature control on our oil furnace. The temperature control was 5 years aged & I felt like it needed to be changed. I did not want to wait for the temperature control to go bad, because then the people I was with and I might be stuck in the middle of Winter with no heat. In a bad storm, I might not be able to get to the oil furnace supply store. I ordered a up-to-date temperature control for the oil furnace, & it came in the mail a few days later. I shut down all of the power, so I could exchange the temperature control. The up-to-date temperature control did not fit. I tried a lot of odd ways, however it seemed like the wrong part. I looked at the order form, so I could double check the part number, then much to our dismay, I realized the company mailed the wrong item. I had to send it back & wait several more days to finish our project.
