Why doesn’t the oil furnace work?

I’m really actually handy, so I usually perform most Home Maintenance repairs on our own, and unless it’s a major renovation or construction project, I can figure it out… When the family room sink needed a current garbage disposal, I purchased a current a single online and installed it on the same day. When I had a problem with a leaky faucet in the lavatory, I did not call a plumber… I watched a few online videos and purchased the parts in the hardware store. I even changed the entire faucet. I even perform our own oil furnace tune-up each year! The Winter time weather can be especially chilly and wet, and the climate around here is chilly for weeks and weeks. I tune up the oil furnace in the start of September, before the outdoor weather has a occasion to get cold, last winter, I decided to change the control unit on our oil furnace. The control unit was 5 years seasoned and I felt like it needed to be changed. I did not want to wait for the control unit to go bad, because after that I might be stuck in the middle of Winter time with no heat. In a exhausting storm, I might not be able to get to the oil furnace supply store. I ordered a current control unit for the oil furnace, and it came in the mail a few days later. I shut down all of the power, so I could exchange the control unit. The current control unit did not fit. I tried a lot of weird ways, but it seemed like the wrong part. I looked at the order form, so I could double check the section number. Much to our dismay, I realized the business mailed the wrong item. I had to send it back and wait three more days to finish our project.
