Happy I can work in HVAC now

The first job I ever had was setting fence out on the farm; If you have never done this kind of labor before, “setting fence” means digging the holes plus setting up the posts along the length of the fence.

The next pass would be for either putting up the crossbeams, or hanging the barbed wire depending on what kind of fence it was to be.

It was separate from question the worst job I have ever had, more than nine hour mornings digging in the boiling sun, this is not something most people can do for genuinely long, my next job was a immense replace, working as an assistant for a freelance HVAC professional in town, however being freelance means she doesn’t labor for any of the more than two established heating plus cooling businesss in town, then she doesn’t even have a shop, her job is 100% made up of home calls so all she needs is her HVAC repair van. I got to tell you that working on cooling system systems plus gas oil furnaces is a immense step up from digging holes for fence posts. It is still hard work, these HVAC components can be genuinely heavy, but at least in between jobs I get to rest in the van (which is also air conditioned, of course). This being a freelance HVAC repair gig means that I have genuinely little job security, plus the spend money isn’t great… After a little more experience, maybe I can apply for a full time job with 1 of the big, legit HVAC businesss plus start moving up in the world.
