I used to be a school teacher and because of this I know how important classroom environment is. The biggest thing that I realized as a school teacher was how important it is to have a good AC system. The school that I worked in was notorious for having a bad HVAC system and it would turn off all the time. I remember one summer when the AC system stopped working in my classroom and I saw the test grades plummet. At first I didn’t really think anything of the AC going off, besides the fact that the kids were complaining. Once I came to realize that the AC being off contributed to the bad grades in my class I started to talk to the principal. The principal many times told me that we had no money to fix the AC but I continued to show him the evidence that we needed to. After a few weeks the principal saw many teachers complaining about the AC and he decided to fix the HVAC system. I was never sure why it took so long to fix the HVAC system because we had a trained HVAC technician as a teacher in one of the shop classes, but I guess it was due to the high cost of HVAC parts. Once the HVAC system started working again kids were able to pay attention and the grades went back up. I have never underestimate the power of AC after I was a teacher without HVAC for weeks, it’s important! If your AC system isn’t working you should really look into calling an HVAC technician.
