I have to admit, when I first bought a home with my wife, I was in way over my head. I didn’t know the first thing about being a responsible homeowner. Fortunately, we had really great neighbors in our area and we got to know many of them. They actually came to welcome us to the neighborhood which was very… neighborly! When we all got to talking, one of the first things I had to say was that I didn’t know what I should be doing really when it came to taking care of my household. I got a few tips from the inspector when he was checking out everything with the house, but the house was in great condition. Even the HVAC system was in excellent working condition and the ductwork seemed to be alright. My neighbors were saying that as long as I kept up with all the yardwork and the snow in the winter season, I would be just fine. They also said how pressing it was to keep up with the HVAC system maintenance in order to have great air quality and keep the energy bills low with an efficient running machine! That made sense, so I asked what HVAC company I should go with and how much should I expect to pay for their services. One of my neighbors was saying that I should go with this one great company that they used, and I should enroll in their HVAC maintenance plan. I never actually knew there was such a thing, but this was great information. I learned that I didn’t have to worry too much about the maintenance when I enrolled because they would take care of basically everything. I would also save a great deal of money this way, I just needed to worry about changing the air filters.
