Anxiety Relieved With Sunroom and HVAC Comfort

It’s interesting how the social discussion has evolved about depression and anxiety.

When I was younger that was simply something that had to be put aside.

You buried feelings like that to get on with work and living life. Not so certain that was the right call. But, as a woman who faced a number of challenges just competing in the business arena, it was something I did. So, it makes me feel much better about those coming along now. I think it’s great to be honest about anxiety and depression. There is plenty of help out there. And many techniques that make living with this a lot easier. I’ve learned to be much more holistic to my overall approach. My sanctuary is my sunroom. We live in an area that gets lots of sun. However, it gets hot and my sunroom is not HVAC cooled. This makes it tough to really enjoy, especially now that I am retired. I love being quiet and just watching the birds from my sunroom but summer was killing that. I tried to rig up an old window a/c unit but that simply did not work. So, I called the HVAC man to get some input. He came out and had a good look at my situation. I asked him if he could simply extend a duct to treat the sunroom. Unfortunately, that doesn’t work. Doing that could throw off the rest of the house while adding more strain to my heat pump. Instead, he suggested I use a mini split system to heat and cool that sunroom. It is ductless and takes a half day to install. It was an easy decision.
