For anyone who has ever had a house full of kids, you should know about Zone Control, if you don’t already have it.
We have a couple of kids, and my parents also live with us.
This means that at any time, there can be one of us or all of us in the same room. We have one main area for all of us to gather and that is the living room. We insist that everyone takes one night a week off and spends time together. We have that family night with pizza and movies, or mutually agreed upon games. Mom and Dad will come out and join us most of the time. Dad will cheat at the games, and mom will always try to predict the end of the movie even before the credits have finished rolling. We also decide where to put the thermostat. We had Zone Control installed into our home, quite a while ago. We were tired of all of the arguments over what temperature the house should be. Since we all have different personalities, it is only normal that we would also have different tastes in our personal space temperature. One thermostat for the entire house, was not working. That was when we had Zone control installed. Now everyone has a thermostat in their room. Zone Control particularly works out well for my parents. They can spend time with us, or go to their suite, where they keep it a bit warmer. They have their own bathroom, sitting room and bedroom, and they only need to share the kitchen. Zone Control has been a real family saver for our home.
