As an instructor it is consistently amazing when one of your students excel when they graduate.
This is why I came up with an idea years ago to have a plan where our students build a new company business plan throughout their last year.
While several of them are going to college and don’t adore this idea at all, many other students entirely take to it. I had a single student a few years ago contact myself and others and told myself and others how deeply grateful he was that every one of us made him do the company plan. He told myself and others that when he graduated he spent his savings from delivering pizzas to start a single van Heating and A/C supplier. His acquaintance was another Heating and A/C worker and he would drive around and help him install AC units, but he was mostly the guy who would take care of the all the appointments and purchasing. Fast forward to now and he a singles of the largest Heating and A/C service companies in our county! His Heating and A/C company took off so well because he was able to dedicate a lot of his time to researching the best air conditioners and furnaces that he could provide. He also implemented a new energy savings tips seminar that all of his clients could attend. They would save currency on how to install new smart thermostats and air conditioners if they first went and l gained about how it would help them save a lot on energy costs! I thought this was an amazing idea, and it made myself and others ecstatic to see our former student running such a smart and successful Heating and A/C business. At the end he told myself and others he wanted to come and upgrade our whole heating and cooling system for free!
