I’m not too keen on hearing strange noises in the night.
I don’t live in the best of neighborhoods, but I make do with what I have.
I have measures in place for my own safety and security, but that was not the problem for the past few nights that I was hearing strange noises. There was a grinding scraping noise coming from somewhere in my home that I would occasionally notice in the later hours. Eventually, the noise got so bad that it occasionally woke me up from my sleep! I did not notice the pattern at first, but then I began to draw parallels. I turn my air conditioning unit up the highest at night when I go to bed. I need that powerful, cool air in order to be able to sleep well. It really makes all the difference in the world for my quality of sleep. I noticed that the grinding and scraping noises were occurring when my air conditioning unit was working the hardest. Perhaps there were certain mechanical components that were being worn down or were out of place. I did not like the idea of corroded or loose parts in my air conditioning unit, so I called out my HVAC technician as soon as I could! Thankfully, he was able to discover the problem and replace and repair all the parts that needed attention. He told me it was a good thing that I called him out when I did because the problem would only have gotten worse from there!
