This is so terrible for the ductless Heating and Air Conditioning too, however cycling on and off makes for higher bills and also wears out the Heating and Air Conditioning
The office recently changed to a ductless Heating and Air Conditioning option. The people I was with and I used to have central Heating and Air Conditioning and that meant one control component that was centrally located. Anytime the control component got changed, the woman had to to walk up and do it. Everyone knew who was the one upping the A/C or turning off the heater… With a ductless Heating and Air Conditioning option, each section of the office has its own control unit. Also, the control component is a smart one, and you don’t need to get up! Just use your laptop or iPhone. This should have been a wonderful thing for the office. Well I absolutely dislike it. The people I was with and I are not grouped based on temperature control, however our job at work. So my group has certainly unusual heating and air preferences. Also, since the smart control component is operated on Wi-Fi, nobody knows who alters the control unit. The ductless mini split is regularly turning on and off. The people I was with and I can alter it right from our laptop. I am guilty to doing it. I dislike being blasted with A/C all day long. I will typically turn off the when I am on my laptop. Somebody in my group likes to turn it on though. The people I was with and I are regularly at war with one another over AC. Our plan is not going to last as long since every one of us can’t agree on the cooling setting. The people I was with and I won’t confront one another since the smart control component lets us be sneaky.
