For whatever reason I always crave ice cream when the temperature goes below freezing. Sure, I love eating ice cream in the heat of the summer like everyone else. When it got to be center of the winter, however, I would sometimes randomly crave cold ice cream. That happened to me one frigid night the other day. I drove to the local ice cream shop in the course of a snowstorm but wasn’t expecting the place to be just as cold as it was outside. Apparently the furnace broke. I tried to shrug off my complaints by accepting the fact that I at least had a good, warm coat on. Luckily, there wasn’t a long line so I could get in and out of that place quickly. As soon as I got back in my car I pumped up the heating system and sat there to warm up. I still wanted my ice cream! I decided to just sit there and eat it as my car’s heating system warmed up. I had to wait until my car heated up before I could drive anyway! Might as well eat some ice cream while I was waiting around. It didn’t take too long for my heating system to operate it’s magic and I was soon driving home. Next time I’m hankering for some ice cream in the midst of a snowstorm I would have to call to guarantee their furnace wasn’t broken.
