It is an established fact that a wonderful education gives 1 a much better occasion of doing well in life, but yet, based on what I have observed, it is as though this fact has escaped the notice of the authorities holding the purse strings. With their level of education, they ought to think that children require facilities which are conducive to learning, to be able to do their best. Apparently, they do not.
My kid is a bright enough kid, absolutely above average where his school work is upset. For weeks now his work has been declining plus he tries to find every possible excuse to skip school. This is not normal behaviour for him so I contacted his school. It turns out that their Heating plus A/C unit has quit. It had been on its last leg for ages plus had finally croaked. There is no Heating plus A/C back-up system so mobile fans were being used to cool the classrooms. Though they may have made a slight difference, no way could 1 or multiple little fans supply the air quality that a functioning Heating plus A/C system can. There aren’t even ceiling fans in the classrooms, so the men are not too comfortable.
A special P.T.A. meeting was called to discuss the matter, plus almost every parent turned up. Several suggestions were aired, however the most popular 1 seemed to be that each parent contribute a certain amount of money, which would go towards replacing the old Heating plus A/C unit. I think 1 parent who is really unwilling to be involved in that. What about the taxes I pay? What is it used for?
